Q: How do I get started in marketing my product to the U.S. Military?
ANSWER: First ask yourself a few key questions. Do you have a product that you are trying to sell through one or both of the military resale systems that operate on base, or are you merely trying to target the military as a good target for your consumer product? If you have a service, are you looking for a contract with the government that will provide exclusive distribution and marketing on base? Are you willing to create a special military offer, or do you simply want to use military advertising and media channels to build awareness and increase sales of your service? We can help you answer these questions and set realistic goals, provide competitive analysis, recommend strategic marketing alternatives, and even support the development of your business case. In short, we'll guide you through the process. To learn more simply click on this e-mail address: ro@militarymarketingllc.com

Q: Is marketing to the U.S. Military difficult? What challenges will I face?
ANSWER: Simply, no. For a variety of reasons and for a long period of time, marketing to the military has been overlooked by many companies. As a result there is limited knowledge resident in the professional advertising and marketing communities to champion and promote the benefits of targeting this very lucrative market segment. Without specific marketplace expertise, marketing to service members seems hard because its culture and customs are unfamiliar and could appear overly complex. Not unlike other regulated industries - telecom, healthcare, financial services - the military, too, has its procedures and protocols that need to be followed in order to ensure a successful outcome. But these specific processes are not particularly challenging once understood. As consumers, Military personnel and their families buy $100 billion worth of products and services every year. Why shouldn't your company enjoy some piece of that revenue? Military Marketing's principles can bring 20+ years of military marketing expertise to your marketing project. Q: How do you get paid?
ANSWER: We maintain a flexible approach to compensation because the business diversity of our client base requires it. Basically, most clients fit into one of these three categories:
Consulting Fee for Service: A project is defined, an amount is quoted, an agreement summarizing all terms and conditions is signed by both parties, and payment is made according to the schedule outlined in the document--usually an upfront payment of 50% of the quoted amount, a 30% payment once a major milestone is reached, and a 20% payment upon completion of the work
Retainer: A scope of responsibility agreement, that is more or less open-ended, guides Military Marketing's initiatives and summarizes the monthly payment we are to receive for efforts on your behalf, supporting you and/or your external business partners
Commission: Companies that wish to secure a contract for services may have the option of paying Military Marketing a much lower Consulting Fee for procuring a contract, in return for their commitment to pay Military Marketing a small percentage of the gross revenues that they derive from the business that Military Marketing helps the company secure. This alternative has proven attractive to smaller organizations who have an excellent service and limited financial resources for upfront work, but who can afford to pay more when we are successful in landing a contract and creating a new revenue stream

NOTE: Out of pocket expenses are always documented and billed as they are incurred, unless an agreement specifically states otherwise. For more information, please contact us at: ro@militarymarketingllc.com
